Our story
We are Nikoletta and Kostas, a couple passionate about interior design, DIY, and upcycling. Kostas is a DIY craftsman and collector, while Nikoletta is a civil engineer and an artist. When we decided to live together in 2015, we learned how to paint furniture to give our home a cohesive style. This process was eye-opening – we cleared space in the garage, painted more furniture, did pieces for our friends, and eventually in 2019 we named our growing passion 'PAINTmyNOOK'.
Our practice
Since 2024 we live and work in Athens. PAINTmyNOOK is now a small business located in Marousi, owned by Nikoletta, who left her career as a freelance civil engineer to pursue her authentic creative calling. Kostas continues his beloved role as our expert furniture scout. PAINTmyNOOK has expanded into various fields of sustainable design and upcycling. In our concept store, visitors can find a small – but daily growing – catalog: handcrafted lampshades and decorative objects made from papier-mâché or folded paper, wall art, sous-verres, and one-of-a-kind statement pieces.
We also offer interior design services, which we're passionate about delivering. We specialize in creating spaces that authentically reflect our clients' personalities. We believe each space should be as unique as its inhabitant.
